WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF BEEF LIVER?
Beef liver has long been valued as a traditional whole food and is widely regarded as one of the most nutrient-dense foods. Its naturally occurring complexity is one reason it has remained a respected part of traditional diets for generations.
Antler Farms Beef Liver is sourced from grass fed New Zealand cows and freeze dried using a cold processing method.
HOW IS ANTLER FARMS BEEF LIVER PROCESSED?
Antler Farms Beef Liver is sourced from, 100% grass fed New Zealand cows.
Cows are raised outdoors and feed on green pasture year round. New Zealand’s climate, clean air and plentiful water in are perfect for raising cows that are naturally robust and fit.
Antler Farms Beef Liver is freeze dried using a cold processing method.
Our New Zealand cattle are inspected before and after slaughter to ensure that the cow and organs are in perfect form and that there are no signs of disease. The organs are freeze dried using a hygienic process without excessive heat or chemicals.
Our beef liver is 100% pure, clean and undefatted, no added fillers or binders. New Zealand has strict guidelines for the husbandry and general care of its livestock. The use of rBGH is banned in New Zealand. Contains no growth hormones, antibiotics or GMO’s.
THE FORGOTTEN VALUE OF ORGAN MEATS
OUR PALEOLITHIC ANCESTORS
When it comes to eating meat, the typical Western diet is limited to muscle tissue while the rest of the animal is largely ignored. This is the opposite of what our Paleolithic ancestors did. Traditionally, organ meats were never discarded. They were highly prized parts that were consumed regularly.
NATURAL PREDATORS KNOW
We can take our cue by looking at nature. When predators such as lions and wolves bring down prey, they consume the organs first, starting with the liver. Instinctively they know heart, liver and kidney provide the greatest source of nutrition (muscle tissue is the last to be consumed).
THE IMPORTANCE OF THE SOURCE
It is well known that inferiorly raised cows, such as grain-fed animals from factory farms, yield similarly poor quality organs. We source from 100% grass fed New Zealand cows to provide a high quality beef liver supplement.
